Jaffa Cookie cakes!

Look what I whipped up in the kitchen last nite...

I needed a quick and fun treat to whip up for a picnic this weekend and came across this recipe over on Kim's Site. I twisted the recipe a little by using Jaffa Cakes instead of Oreos (which I will also try some day :P) and they are oh so divine. Can’t wait to share them out at the picnic and see what everyone thinks!
The recipe is below, try them yourself!

I love this plate, its been in my family for years. Its called 'English Garden'

My First Post: The First Sunrise!!

I have read many wonderful blogs by very interesting and talented people, and I have finally decided to stand up, take a deep breathe and begin my very own.

So, who am I? My name is Lisa, I am currently living in Northern Ireland and I love all things weird and unusual. I have just returned last year from my great adventure which was University life. And what an adventure that was!!

What’s interesting about me? Well I love crafts and creating unique and fascinating (hmm what can I call them) bits and bobs.... I also love baking and shopping for cute unnecessary items that I cant possibly do without. I have spent the past five years of my life studying Art and Design and Textile Crafts at college and University (which was scary but very fulfilling).

If I was asked what inspires me in this great big Planet we call home, I would have to say.... nature and adventure (and they go so well together too). I love the overwhelming feeling I get when I am exploring something or somewhere new, or when Mother Nature decides to shock me with another one of her breathtaking landscapes. I am so blessed to have many of these inspirations right on my doorstep....

Some highlights from a range of necklaces I produced recently, I loved how quick they were to create and how colourful they are.

The hills of Donegal.

A picture I took back in December when we had a heavy snow fall. I had to stand on the roof to take it, but it was so worth it.

So I think that’s about enough for my brief introduction. I hope you will enjoy reading my blog just as much as I’ll enjoy writing it. I’m off now to bake something up for a picnic I’m going on tomorrow with the girls, I may even upload some pics tomorrow (that’s if they turn out nice). Have a nice weekend.
